Beginning his working career as a 911 operator, Andrew understands a thing or two about crisis management, resource identification, and communication under pressure. He soon parlayed his lifelong love of technology into a job in the IT department at the state of Florida. But not one to pass up the educational opportunities afforded by the state, Andrew spent the next few years going to school at night to complete his Masters of Science in Financial Services degree, as well as earn his CFP®. Before joining our firm, Andrew spent a half dozen years at another investment firm where he acted as a financial planner and ran a support team.
But the pandemic taught Andrew that he much preferred to work at home, remotely, then to log long hours at the office, or to slog through traffic to and from work each day. Plus, such a commute cut into his love of learning, and was making it difficult for him to finish his EA and his RICP. So, when his old firm decided to bring everybody back to the office, Andrew took the opportunity to increase his quality of life, cut his hours, and cement his remote work life by joining our firm. We couldn’t be more pleased with his decision.
Originally from the high desert mountain town of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Andrew now lives in Wellington, Florida with his wife and two young children. Being less than an hour from Disney World, he considers himself lucky to have a son who shares his love of all things Star Wars, of robotics, and of wild, thematic thrill rides.
In his free time, when not tooling around in his Tesla Model X, mopping the streets with a seemingly endless parade of big block sports cars who think they have any chance to win, he explores his movie passion in a home studio. Admittedly a bit of a goofball, Andrew is seemingly obsessed with all things camp Americana, especially the Clark Griswold National Lampoon Christmas series. (There’s a picture on the website somewhere revealing his joy upon realizing his 2022 Christmas tree touched the ceiling.). He’s also known to host large holiday parties, cooking for dozens of people, friends and family, and just loving life at his pool in his beautiful backyard.
